Marco Bellomo, known to listeners as Marcaux, always knew that music was his destiny. From a young age, Bellomo was surrounded by the sounds of music as his mother, Connie, was a musician and constantly playing around the house. He says that he didn’t choose music, it chose him; Connie ...
Western Long Island MC and producer Marcaux has shared the music video to "Namaste," one of the singles from his recent self-produced new EP Hypocrite. Fresh off his packed EP release show last month, this latest video captures the aloof indifference of the single and filters it through Super 8-style footage of Marcaux as he patrols the streets. He announced Hypocrite back in September with the release with the prophetic "He Has Risen" before premiering "Namaste" with GroundSounds in November. Marcaux even delivered a video featuring a blistering in-studio freestyle, "'95 (ft. Jon Brick)", in which he showcases his impressive freestyle-talent with nothing but a live drummer.
On Hypocrite, which follows his 2015 debut album Desensitized, Marcaux sets his high-speed, dexterous flow to his own alternative-inspired production. Tracks like "He Has Risen" and "Namaste" exhibits Marcaux's talent for combining sticky hooks with a dynamic rap structure that merges RATKING spitfire sequences with the fiery alternative-style production of twenty one pilots. He writes, produces, and engineers his own music and lyrics; he does the same for other developing artists, such as HEIRSOUND, Ilya Setrakian, and many more.
Marcaux has steadily made a name for himself through vigorous touring across the US, where he has opened for Chris Webby in addition to featured performances on the Beatport Stage at Warped Tour on Long Island. Marcaux has frequently been recognized as a rising star, winning Best New Artist at the International Music Conference in 2014 as well as winning the Emerging Artist Series at SummerFest 2016. He released his debut album Desensitized in July 2015, which be followed with plentiful explosive live shows and, most recently, Hypocrite, which came out December 1.
